I showed up at Taiyo Auto early afternoon on sunday to get started on adding some more angle to the 180sx. As I walked in the shop Tak was working on finishing up with my Team mate’s car.

Jamie’s car has put down 400whp for the last 100,000km and the head gasket had finally started to show some leakage. Upon pulling the motor apart we noticed it was warped between 3 & 4, but did not actually fail!

As you can see his motor is now apart and is awaiting the install of his new turbo setup. Also happy to say for the abuse he put this motor through it shows no damage at all!

Now to start on my car, got it up and started pulling some of the old parts off to see what we would have to do to make everything fit.

The old bump stops were cut off after we found they were impeding the knuckle rotation.

with the old control arms out the new ones were bolted up and the measuring for new bump stops began!

Welding the new bump stops in place to stop the tires from rubbing the frame rails. Also check out the bracing we added on the bottom of the control arms to prevent any flexing.
Alignment specs now:

Camber: -4.7
Caster: -8
Toe: 0
