Heeeyyy Y’alll! So blog post number 1 for the Pro/Am season starts off with some crazy ups and downs! Day 1 Evergreen Pro/Am: So day one we show up to a VERY wet Evergreen speedway which I actually don’t mind, I like driving in the rain, living in Canada while learning to drift we see a lot of it. The biggest problem with it was that it wasn’t consistently wet. So [...]

It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to make the short drive out to Agassiz, BC to watch some drifting. So naturally when I trent told me he had finally finished his car and was starting the event back up I was pretty excited! After many months (and Trent becoming a father) the corolla finally had a running and driving V8! Check out his “test” run…. taking it [...]

Making the journey from the mainland to Vancouver Island is a short (1.5 hour) trip on BC Ferries. Although not my favorite way to travel, it does have it’s perks! Not only do you get to take in the sights of the beautiful landscapes that BC has to offer, but occasionally you can get treated to some of BC’s ocean wildlife swimming alongside the boats. As one of my first trips to [...]

For the first time in what seems like years I got to sleep in on a saturday, by sleep in I mean 8am….. After my usual drive down to evergreen speedway I was greeted by the big man, Matt Faraca and the rest of the NWMotiv crew as they funnelled piles of cars into the event center to get their show set up. I stopped by the staff tent and [...]

Driftwest is the series that took over what DMCC lacked on the West Coast of Canada, they are only in their first season but it was nice to see some cars I recognized and some organization to their madness! This round is the only one in BC and it was held at Penticton Speedway for labor day long weekend. It’s an odd feeling for me after over 10 years in [...]

The final round of Evergreen Drift’s Pro-Am series brought out the spirit of the season in all the drivers. Once again these guys drove with no fear and putting their cars through their paces putting on quite a show for the crowd! Tyler Grimsley has been plagued with issues all year so it was great to see him get a day without anything go wrong! It really showed what he [...]

As I was packing my gear up at 4:30am on sunday morning (Yes… That’s what time I get up to be at these events) I was thinking to myself how much has changed over the past year. This day marked the final competition day of 2013! My friend, Jordan Hall, brought his SR powered Miata down from Kelowna for a day of competition and some fun before he heads back [...]

With Formula Drift all packed up and the speedway emptied of all the pro cars and trailers it was time to have some fun! The guys from Drift Union and Hotboyz drove all the way down from Kelowna BC to take part in the festivities! Here is Eric Zapata in his 1JZ powered S13 coming into the first corner off the bank. With the sun up and the temperature rising we hit the track to watch some Top 32 practice! The top names took to the track with a vengeance, these guys weren’t really leaving anything on the table and were getting as close to each other as possible which made for some great shots! Rhys and Chris were putting their Hankook tires to good use here! Fredric Aasbo was laying down some insane runs [...]

With the sun rising and the weather clearing it was looking to be another great weekend for Drifting in the Pacific Northwest. Formula Drift was here and Ryan Benoit (From Dodologic) and I had climbed in the Big Boy Media drift car for the 2 hour drive to Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Wa. We got settled in at the Northwest Nissans booth, unloaded the car and set up our chairs [...]
