Driftwest is the series that took over what DMCC lacked on the West Coast of Canada, they are only in their first season but it was nice to see some cars I recognized and some organization to their madness! This round is the only one in BC and it was held at Penticton Speedway for labor day long weekend. It’s an odd feeling for me after over 10 years in [...]
This event is one of the ones I have been looking forward to all year! The boys of Drift Union host an invitational event once a year and it’s full of friends, cars, parties, drifting, team tandem, wall tap contests, longest entry contests and more! …. basically a recipe for something amazing! Saturday started out a little wet, but don’t for a minute think that it slowed the day down [...]
It had been about a month since I had been up to Penticton Speedway and last time was taking my Mom up for mothers day! We’d made a few minor changes to the car and got the front end working a bit better which made the day MUCH more fun! We took the pair from last event flipped them to give me something to start on this time… added a [...]
This may not have been the first event of the year…. but it sure as hell kicked the proper season off with a bang! Everyone’s car held together, the sask boys were out in full force and best of all…. Tandem Trains for DAYS!!!! Steve getting the car set up for awesomeness! Needed to put a good pair of rubber on to get some warm up laps in. We got [...]
Getting the car dialed in for Penticton, as the day went on my lines got a bit cleaner and I had way more fun getting close to that inner wall.
As some of you may or may not have heard by now. The boys of Drift Union put on some pretty epic drift days at Penticton Speedway, usually starting with a test & tune/school day to kick off the season. There was a small turnout of drivers due to the track changing the date at the last minute but we had great fun out there! This was my first time [...]
The day Began for me a little later than usual, the boys from Team Midnighters picked me up a little before 8am and we hit the road. The first thing we saw when we got to the track was this… This might give you a bit of an idea of how far off the beaten path we were, such a beautiful drive through the hills of Penticton, BC.
