As it being the last round of the season for grassroots and us making some major changes to the car, this really was a make or break point for me.  And we definitely made it!

The New coilovers I got from Nissanparts.cc along with the support from Achilles Radial got us Top Qualifier for the final event of the season!

As you can see above, I was getting VERY aggressive with my transitions into the power alley and everything seemed to just come together so perfectly.

My practice runs were a little sloppy to start with but with some minor dampening changes and a little bit of tire pressure changes we were looking golden for qualifying.

First run was laying down a safe run, wasn’t fantastic but it laid the ground work for my next run.  I felt really good with my line.

My second qualifying run I got some great speed coming into the power alley and had no trouble extending my line nice and deep to give me a good line to the last 2 clipping points!

Stayed on the gas pretty long to finish out that first run… Judges love the Achilles smoke

After qualifying first I had a by run as we a few drivers broke which left the field with 31 to start the day.  We don’t get to do those runs in grassroots so I was left to cheer on my midnighters team mates!

After making it through the Top 16 and onto the Top 8… I made a mistake coming off the bank and ended up being knocked out by Joey Portelli (fellow midnighter) and he went on to win the event.

As far as events go this was one of my most exciting and successful to date, I really got to put the car though it’s paces and look forward to getting more seat time next year to see if I can take home the championship and possibly make the leap into Pro-Am.
