EVD Pro-Am Round 1

Pro-Am season started with one of the most amazing days out on the track a guy could ever have hoped for.  We had everything from car problems, crashes to a 6 round battle for 1st place!

Chris Jeanneret decided the way to celebrate his birthday weekend was doing 80mph on a 5/8ths bank after a long hiatus from drifting.

Chris CNC

And we thank him for that choice!  Make sure you stop by CNC Autosport and say hi to him and see the car,

Andrew CoomesAndrew Coomes was out in true fashion this weekend, got all his bugs sorted out over the off-season and the LS2 was performing like a champ!

Andrew LarsonSadly our very own Andrew Larson came into contact with the top of the wall on his qualifying run this weekend.  He had just finished his new fenders and was on the road to getting the car to look pretty.  But don’t worry folks, he’s far from out!  Already in the works getting the car back together for round 2, with some more power this time!

Mike Phillips

Mike Phillips put on a hell of a show, showing just what he could do with the blue beast!  Rocking some new power and some new sponsors he was tearing it up with a vengeance, including his 6 round battle for first place with Andrew Coomes!  He did however win our Closest to contest for the Pro-Ams, unfortunately he hit just hard enough to straighten him which cost him in the end.

Peter Funtake was out in last years chassis, I was a bit surprised to see it there since I had heard he was building a new car.

Although Tyler was having some fueling issues, he was attacking the bank like a champ and was driving the infield in his true reliable fashion.

Congrats to Andrew Coomes for taking top spot!!

1. Andrew Coomes
2. Mike Phiilips
3. Peter Funtake

All 3 did a fantastic job and put on a hell of a show!
