As I was packing my gear up at 4:30am on sunday morning (Yes… That’s what time I get up to be at these events) I was thinking to myself how much has changed over the past year. This day marked the final competition day of 2013!

My friend, Jordan Hall, brought his SR powered Miata down from Kelowna for a day of competition and some fun before he heads back home to Saskatchewan in the coming weeks. For his first time ever driving the track in this layout, and only second time ever driving the track… he did outstanding! Qualified 2nd for the comp!

Marc was out in the S14 doing a few things, sealing up his 2nd place for the season as well as giving the motor one last run before it starts coming out. He’s got anew surprise lined up for next season and you can be sure we’ll post some articles on it’s progression as the off-season moves on.
I was out in the Big Boy Drift car still getting 100% used to the changes we did over the past month. I was honestly surprised to hear I Qualified 1st when the results came in, although it felt like a good run, I had never qualified in single digits before so it was a very nice feeling!

Dio was sporting his awesome new NissanParts.cc wrap job (done by fusion graphics) and was doing a great job keeping his runs consistant all day. Can’t wait to see him next year when he’s sporting his VQ!
Joey Portelli has gotten very comfortable in his KA-T powered S14 and you can see it as the year went on. It is no surprise that he came along and knocked me out of top spot only to take it all the way and take 1st place for the day! Congrats Joey!

Johnathan Raymer is another driver that has improved so much this year! And he’s got the results to prove it making the podium for the last event! Can’t wait to see this guy back again next season and see what he brings to the table.

Chris Goldie-Wells and his amazing 2JZ powered S13 have been the force to recon with this season. Going into this round he was leading Marc-Andre tatto by only 1 point and both drivers were looking forward to duking it out in the end to see who takes home top spot. Unfortunately for marc he broke 2 axles and was unable to continue. Chris secured Top spot for the season and from the sounds of it looks to be after the 5/8ths for next season!

The third member of the podium for EVD80 was Travis Takamori of this gold corolla. Some very consistant driving and one of the few AE’s I see doing the full pull on the bank it is no doubt he’ll be around for more next season.
Conclusion
Rounding out the season, One of the best to date for me. So many new drivers and lots of fun helping new guys get more competitive as well as learning from the more experienced ones on how to make myself more competitive. I am looking forward to more for next season, see you all there!

The evergreen staff LOVES the Canadians that come down…. maybe too much….
