Formula Drift weekend is not only about the Pro’s, the Pro-Am guys lay it all out on the line to advance in the series and get a chance at a Pro License! This weekend is something special though, with all the fans watching them and some of the big names around to watch for up and coming drivers it really is a chance to strut your stuff.
Take Tyler Wolfson for example, all teh way up from southern California to take part in our pro-am series for the past 2 years.
Victor Moore went from running a V8 Pro car back to his roots with this SR20 Powered Monster running the local pro-am series to get used to the car again. And I have to say he has been driving better than ever! As Victor and the car progress I can begin to see how unstoppable he will be when we find him back in Formula D again!
Galen Callaghan is fairly new to drifting and the 5/8ths but has let none of that stop him even for a minute. He’s had his share of bumps and scrapes including the car being stolen last year but thankfully he got it back and took a new lease on his passion of drifting!
Jeremy Richter is driver that I first saw at Nissan Fest earlier this year, the car has gone through some major visual changes and has a wicked new powerplant setup! Another JZ powered S-Chassis that loves to tear up the big bank at evergreen speedway!
Steven Thompson from Drift Union decided to partake in some Pro-AM festivities since he now has his Visa! We love it when steve decides to do things because they usually involve something purple and some wall smashes!
Now we move onto the Winner of the Pro-Am event this weekend, Mr. Rob Primo! This 2JZ powered S14 is among the longest competitors at evergreen speedway, It has seen some major changes over the years and is now a force to be reckoned with!
