With the sun up and the temperature rising we hit the track to watch some Top 32 practice!

The top names took to the track with a vengeance, these guys weren’t really leaving anything on the table and were getting as close to each other as possible which made for some great shots!  Rhys and Chris were putting their Hankook tires to good use here!

Fredric Aasbo was laying down some insane runs all morning, including this one at insane speed on entry….

And with this cars incredible grip even some 3-wheel action while keeping the foot planted!

Dennis Mertzanis and Dai Yoshihara battling it out in the Top 32, quite an even match with them both having V8 powered S13′s.  Also fun to watch these 2 battle it out!

Some FD big wigs having a little discussion before the Top 16 Ceremonies begin.

Probably 2 of my favorite drivers right here, Walker (since I’ve known him since he first started drifting) and Matt Powers (because he is an awesome guy).  Watching them go up against each other was one of the most exciting battles of the day for me, both amazing drivers and the always drive their cars to the edge!

This was Ryan Kado’s first event with his turbo setup and It seemed to be going very well for him!  Although his car was much quieter with the turbo on it It did look like he was having a nice reliable power setup.

As the battles went on these guys brought the line higher and higher up the wall and deeper into the power alley!

Rhys Millen may have been going a little wide but it was an amazing line!  Super high on the wall and some major angle into the infield, all without ever lifting off the throttle.  Such a huge trail of smoke followed that car all the way through the course!
