Forum Fest is an event on it’s second year, held by NOS Energy drinks. One of those events that you need to experience at least once in your life because it has EVERYTHING!
For us it started out on the drive down with Jamie from Team Midnighters as he set out to show the Washington crowd what this S13 ca do in the 1/4mile. Powered by an SR20DET, 2871 .64A/R and methanol Injection…It’s NOT slow!
For those of you that follow us regularly you will remember our visit to Pentiction, BC for the Drift Union Invitational and Pete Schroeder’s Cressida hit. Well this is the replacement… a fully caged SR powered S13, and boy was it nice to see him back in one!
As you can see here, Nikki showed up again to show the boys how to properly remove a bumper! This girl is the queen of dirt drops on this track, not even phasing her a bit on each one she just kept in it.
Matt Vankirk is a name you’ll see popping up in the PNW, this kid (19 years old) has taken this car beyond what I ever thought he would. For a relatively simple setup S13 and just drives the wheels off of it!
Kevin Petersen, known for his work with Serial Nine and and absolutely GANGSTER lines, showed some serious love for the gravel and tossing his x7 Cressida into corners as hard as he could! We love this!
David Nedelcu was tearing up the track in his Mustang again, one of the few I’ve ever seen do corner 3A and 3B without ever lifting! This car gets some serious angle and it seems he’s figured out just how much he needs to NOT lift off the throttle through any corner!
No real surprise to see Kory and Andrew chasing each other up and down the hill and speed! These guys were having a blast and never once let up!
Matt Vankirk decided to join the party and get in the mix… as you will notice Andrew is missing a headlight… Kory’s Rear bumper knocked that one out when Andrew managed to just clip him after he spun.
During a lunch break we headed up to the show to visit Russell from Nissanparts.cc to pick up some lanyards and other goodies!
Of course this event wouldn’t be complete without a visit with the stunning NOS girls!
After the NOS Girls it was a jump over to the Drag strip to see Jamie make one of his passes against his brother in a Nitrous Powered B15 Spec V! Looked as though Jamie was getting used to those drag radials… He’ll be needing a cage soon I expect!
I’m a sucker for an old Willys… so this supercharged one I wouldn’t resist!
Here is Kevin doing some axle replacement after the joint exploded just before lunch… Not sure what Kohei is looking for in the tool box but he looks excited!
Speaking of Kohei Nakamura, here he is in the Drift Office S13 just tearing up the track! What you can’t see is the owner of the car standing right around where the trunk ends in this picture…. I’m sure Bob was pleased to see this car coming together with Kohei getting more and more comfortable driving it! Look out Pro-Am 2012!
Roland Gallagher was back from his Texas trip with some of the Other FD drivers. It was nice to see him back on PNW soil and even better to see him getting chased down this hill by his girlfriend Nikki! They were doing some very good tandem runs near the end of the day!
One of the track workers hopped in line with the drifters as they all started to run low on tires and was tossing this caddy around! Unfortunately with a foot ebrake he was unable to utilize that so it was a little more challenging.
Unfortunately Victor was not able to finish his own car… thankfully he has a great friend with a car that he was able to borrow! Big Thanks out to Chris from CNC Autosport for lending him the car and letting us witness his backward entry!
The last shot I’ll leave you with is Pete in the Neptune Drift S13 attempting his backward entry!
