Drift Union Joins DTA

For those of you that don’t know who Drift Union are…. Get out from under your rock and turn on the internet!  These 3 guys have taken the internet world by storm over the last few years showing exactly how much fun can be had while driving 3 VERY different cars.  As anyone that follows them will know they have taken on a sponsor for 2012, DTA Posse.

Shawn, Logan and Steve are quite honestly 3 of the most fun guys you will ever spend time with at any event.  You’ll find shawn Sporting a wife beater at all times and Steve is hard to miss with his “lucky shorts” but Logan is the one that you need to look out for especially behind the wheel of his Subaru Legacy!

When you see this logo you will know the boys are near and ready to lay some rubber (even shawn in his tow rig driving around kelwona).

Lets go back a few years here and see how I met each of these guys, we’ll start with Steven Thompson..

Steve is the pilot of the Toyota Soarer, when I first met him he was showing me his 240sx Hatchback that he had just finished painting for the Driven To Perform show in 2007.  Since then he has owned a variety of drift cars, owned his own autobody shop for a few years and even recently got engaged!

Shawn I met for the first time in 2007 in at a Cell Block D event when he first brought a beater RX7 down fully in primer on pink stock wheels!  5 years later he’s got a tube front and rear end with a custom hatch among MANY other changes.  Among the most remarkable thing is a ~300hp RELIABLE rotary… Not something I have seen very often so it impresses me.

Now for Logan…. What can I say about this wiry little guy.  He’s crazy…. How else can you explain an ex-BMX racer that took a Suabru Legacy and turned it into one of the most fun drift cars around.  I met him somewhere over the years and I actually have NO idea the first time I met him….. Yes I’m lame that way.

As you can see there is nothing about these 3 that stops them from having fun in what they do.  They love to drive together and continue to put on a more exciting show for those watching every time I see them.
