So this event was one thing…. WET. It rained all day which was great for the tires but it meant there was some spinning amongst the 33 drivers that showed up. Gaelen decided to get out from behind the camera and put in some wheel time with his new Knuckles!
Pro-Am season started with one of the most amazing days out on the track a guy could ever have hoped for. We had everything from car problems, crashes to a 6 round battle for 1st place! Chris Jeanneret decided the way to celebrate his birthday weekend was doing 80mph on a 5/8ths bank after a long hiatus from drifting.
The opening round of the Evergreen Drift Grassroots was one of the best days at the track we’ve ever seen. Well as you all know we live in the Pacific Northwest, and… it rains! Not that that stopped any of these drifters that came out today. The rain stopped for a while and we got to have some real fun when the track dried up!
Well it’s that time of year again where we all get our cars back together and head out to the track and see if all that work over the winter has paid off. As spring rounds the corner and tracks open up again we get days like today, a brisk sunny day at the track with some old faces and lots of new ones.
The 2010 season was a roller coaster ride. Starting with the first event we had bumps in the road, evergreen speedway held the first open drift of the season and of course we had a lot of fine tuning to do so we were there ready to rock!
